1. An author submits two copies of an article in white paper in an envelope, each copy must be clamped.

The manuscript is accompanied with:

  • Summary (an article title, author’s initials and surname, organization, city, country, the  text of  500 - 1000 marks keeping the structure of the article that is the statement of a problem, analysis of previous studies, the object of a paper, investigation results, conclusions, keywords) in Ukrainian, Russian and English - 1 copy;
  • An expert opinion about the possibility of open publication – 1 copy;
  • Information about the authors (surname, first name and patronymic, academic degree, academic title, place of work, a position, home or business address, phone number, e-mail address) – 1 copy;
  • Review from the specialist in this field of science;
  • Electronic files carrier: the text, images, list of references in Roman letters, annotations and information about the authors.

2. The article may be in Ukrainian, English, Russian and German.

3. The article must follow the terminology of the state standards, in the case of using a new term or abbreviation the author must decipher and explain it.

4. Choosing the unit of physical quantity you should follow the SI system.

5. The article must be structured (divided into sections with headlines in large print) and concluded. After the text of the article there must be a list of the references in the original language (Times New Roman font, size 12 pt, line spacing - single).

6. Formulas, pictures, tables, sections must have simple Arabic sequential numeration. You shouldn’t number sections and formulas if there are no references to them in the text. Tables should not duplicate graphics.

Formulas and symbols should be typed with the help of the Equation Editor as a separate object in size: standard - 14 pt, large index - 9 pt, small index - 7 pt, large symbol – 18 pt, small symbol – 12 pt. Roman letters must be in italic type, and the Cyrillic and Greek letters are in direct print.

7. The literary sources that were used are given in the list according to the order of their reference in the text. It is not allowed to refer to unpublished and incomplete papers. Bibliographic description of the references list must correspond to the State standards requirements, the components in bibliographic references are all authors’ surnames and the titles of the journals.

8. Apart from the article there must be the list of references in Roman letters for foreign data bases. The accurate presentation of authors and titles of literary sources will give exact results of statistical and analytical data about them in foreign data bases.

Making a references list in Roman letters for foreign data bases, you must consider the following requirements:

  • The text of the references list is made in Times New Roman font, size 12 pt, line spacing - single, surnames and initials are in italics;
  • It is obligatory to have a version that contains authors’ surnames which were reconciled by transliteration spelling (in accordance with the one accepted system) and translation of the cited sources;
  • It is desirable to use one of the accepted international bibliographic standards composing the references list (all without exception). You should use the appropriate resources (http://www.easybib.com/, http://www.bibme.org/, http://www.sourceaid.com/), that automatically create references according to proposed standards. This description may be created for different types of publications (a book, a journal article, Internet resources, etc.);
  • Making a references list in Roman letters you shouldn’t use punctuation marks like in the Ukrainian DSTU ("/ /" and "-");
  • Designing the references to the article it is not necessary to give its title;
  • Follow one of the widespread transliteration systems of authors’ surnames, titles of articles (if they are included) and names of literary sources (http://translit.kh.ua/ - transliteration of the Ukrainian text into the Roman alphabet and http://www.translit.ru/ - transliteration of the Russian text into the Roman alphabet);
  • Referring to the papers from the Russian (Ukrainian) journals that have a version in translation it is better to allude to this version of the article. If periodical has approved title in English, it is better to specify this name.

9. The articles should be typed in a word processor MS Word (*. Rtf, *. Doc) with a single line spacing. The total article shouldn’t exceed 8 - 9 p. for giving the results of problematic nature or 5 – 6 p. to present the reports of scientific and practical results.

You shouldn’t put down pagination in electronic form. Pagination must be marked with the pencil in the upper right corner of the back of the page.

10. Text margins:

  • top and bottom margins - 25 mm, the inside margin - 18 mm and the outside margin - 22 mm,
  • margins of running titles: header and footer - 12.5 mm,
  • indentation - 0.75 cm.

11. In the upper left corner of the sheet the UDK (Times New Roman font, size 12 pt) must be indicated;

  • align the next line from the center and specify the name of the article in capital letters with size 14 pt, and a single line spacing;
  • below a line, align from the center and specify the surname (s) and initials of author (s), organization, city, country (Times New Roman font - size 12 pt, italic type, line spacing - single);
  • below a line give the summary text in the language of the article (Times New Roman font, italic type, size 12 pt, line spacing - single). The annotation text should have 500 - 1000 marks keeping the structure of the article: a problem, analysis of previous studies, the object of the work, results of the research, conclusions;
  • below give keywords (3 - 4) in Ukrainian, Russian and English (Times New Roman font, italic type, size 12 pt, line spacing - single);
  • below a line give the text of the article (Times New Roman font, size 14 pt, line spacing - single);
  • structural elements of the article are separated by a blank line;
  • at the end of the text give a list of references (Times New Roman font- size 12 pt, line spacing - single).

12. According to the resolution of the Presidium of the Higher Certifying Commission of  Ukraine from 15.01.2003 № 7-05/1 scientific articles must contain the following elements: problem definition in general outline and its connection with important scientific and practical tasks, analysis of recent researches and publications in which the solution of this problem were started on and the author relies on these facts, highlighting the unsolved aspects of the problem which the article covers, wording of the object of a paper (statement of a task), presentation of the basic material of research with explanations of scientific results, findings from this study and prospects for further research in this direction.
